How amazing is this! THANK YOU to Safari Plumbing who ran a 3 month on-line vote for the Community’s Favourite Charity or Non-Profit and the Bell Warriors won!!! Our prize….$1,000 to go towards keeping our club and great sport “Affordable for All”.
The Warriors gladly stopped practice last night to welcome David Sparling and Rachel Downton of Sparling Plumbing who proceeded to present a $1,000 to our Bell Warriors Football Club. Safari Plumbing hosts three local charities or non-profit organizations on their website which allows supporters of these organizations to cast votes for their favourite one with the result being that the organization that receives the most amount of votes receives the first place $1000 cash prize. Second place receives the $500 cash prize and third place receives the $250 cash prize. Paul Stewart, Bell Warriors President, accepted the winning cheque on behalf of our club and stated, “We are humbled and honoured and immensely proud of our role in our community. For 64 years we have been dedicated to mentoring our many communities youth. We believe in being caring and generous as does Safari Plumbing. This money will go a long way to make sure are young players are equipped with the best available equipment while keeping our Warriors safe and our club affordable for all.”
David Sparling, Safari Plumbing Owner, elequently states, “We at Safari Plumbing believe that it is vitally important to give back to the communities that support us. We give back a portion of profits and let you decide which organization should get it. Living in our communities is not a one way street. It takes people, commitment, volunteerism and resources of all kinds to create and strengthen our present and future. Safari Plumbing is not here just for business. We want to support local organizations, helping them to achieve their goals to better our communities. We believe that when we give back to our local community, we all WIN! With 8 local employees we consider this campaign to be Locals helping Locals. We Award One Charity $1,000.00, every 6 months. We have an online voting system. The charity or non-profit organization with the most votes by the last day of each campaign will receive the cash donation. Each organization has a chance to win a maximum of $2,000 every 2 years.”
