Our 64th Bell Warriors Team Banquets were held this past weekend and as always, both events were a huge celebration of youth sports; of our youths’ hard work; of our youths’ dedication & commitment; of their responsibility & respect; of their selflessness & sportsmanship; and of the willingness to challenge themselves for personal growth and the betterment of their team and our club!  Now that’s worth celebrating!

Saturday, January 18th, was our Pee Wee and Bantam Teams Banquet.  Every player received a full-colour program detailing their season and a Memory Mate keepsake with team and player pictures taken by our official team photographer Wanda Keenan of Keenan Sports Photography program.  Coach presentations were given for each player and our Major Award winners were presented with their Annual Trophy and Keepsake Trophy.   Due to a conflict, we moved our Tyke and Mosquito Banquets to the next day.  As with the previous night’s banquet, we hosted another Silent Auction with the event as always.  In total, we raised an all-time record $7,200 which will be dedicated to offset player financial registration fee shortfalls.

This year we had a special treat for our A-Cup winning Mosquito team.  The OSEG Foundation and the Ottawa REDBLACKS donated a football for every player which we surprised our Mosquito players with at the end of the banquet.  We even had enough footballs to give 5 as door prizes to our Tyke players.  THANK YOU for your generation donation!

This year’s event would not have been possible without the hours of volunteer time put in by our Warriors Volunteer team.  Can’t thank you all enough!  We also want to acknowledge our team sponsors and list of donators to our 8th Annual Silent Auction Fundraiser:
