The Bell Warriors Football Club is looking for support. The Warriors offer competitive football programs for boys and girls ages 8-19 in the communities of Stittsville, Munster, Richmond, Bells Corners, Bayshore and Britannia.
“It’s of primary importance to the Warriors to make our sport affordable for all,” says Warriors President Paul Stewart. Player fees cover less than half of the Warriors annual budget so support of generous people and companies is critical to this 59 year old youth program. The Warriors introduced Silent Auctions to their team banquets two years ago with 100% of the proceeds going to the purchase of new player equipment. “We supply 100% of the equipment needed to play football and our club purchases about $35,000 in new player equipment annually. We’ve raised close over $10,000 from our auctions and hope to build on that success again this year at this year’s Silent Auctions”, adds Stewart.
The Warriors are looking for supporters to step up and make a donation to one of their two auctions (which are held in conjunction with their two banquets, January 10, 2015). The Warriors are 100% volunteer based and have a proud tradition of mentoring youth in our community. “For 59 years, we have been reinforcing the value of hard work, respect, responsibility, commitment, friendship, good sportsmanship, selflessness, healthy lifestyles and pride in our youth. We can’t do what we do, however, without community support. Our 50+ volunteers commit over 5,000 hours of their time annually to support our youth. Donate now to show you value this amazing contribution to your community and the life lessons our program instills in our players and families”, concludes Stewart.
