4 Gee Gees players and U of Ottawa Gee Gees Coach Chris Shibley were guest coaches tonight for our tykes and mosquitos. The tempo of both practices was clearly affected by the presence of our hometown CIS Gee Gees. Brian Patterson, Bell Warriors Tyke Head Coach, summed up the night as, “a great experience for our young players. It’s great making a connection with players at such a high level. We had a great night.” Half way through the practice, the Gee Gee guest coaches joined our Bantam practice for a spirited final hour of tryouts. 5th year Gee Gee QB Derek Wendel spoke to the group after the practice and stated, “the importance of putting as much effort in the classroom that our Warrior Bantams did on the practice field tonight and you’ll have much to be proud of.”
HUGE THANK YOU to the Gee Gee’s for volunteering their time to support our Warriors. It’ll be a night that our young players will not soon forget. Click HERE to find out more about the U. of Ottawa Summer Football Camp. We very highly recommend it!
