This is not a time to sit back Warriors’ supporters. This is a time to get bundled up. It’s time to put on all of your Warrior Wear and it’s time to cheer as hard as you can for our Warriors….it’s CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK!
Our Tykes and Mosquito clubs didn’t make it to the finals but we have to start off by congratulating head coaches Brian Patterson (Tyke) and Richard Baylin (Mosquito) for instilling a love for our great sport and building the foundation for the continued growth of our Club. We can’t thank you and your volunteers enough! THANK YOU!!!
At the Midget level (17-19 year olds), the Warriors partner with our neighbours at Bel-Air to field the Bel-Air Norsemen. The Norsemen are filled with Warrior alumni and take the field against the Nepean Eagles (which is a partnership between the Eagles and Myers Riders) Friday night at 8:15 p.m. at the Nepean Sportsplex. This will be a match-up that will showcase the best recruits and players from the Ottawa region. You won’t want to miss this one!
The Warriors Bantams (15-16 year olds) take the field on Halloween to face the West Carleton Wolverines. The Wolverines are a rugged, hard-hitting club so this will be a battle until the final whistle. Our Warriors will be looking to build on last weekend’s dominant win over the Bengals and carry their momentum to best the Wolverines who won in a lop-sided battle earlier this year. Best of luck Warriors!
Our final Warrior team in Championship Week is our Pee Wee team led by head coach Michael Polito. Mike’s Pee Wees are a well-balanced, skilled team that will need to bring all they have to come home with a victory over the undefeated Cumberland Panthers. We know this will be a showcase game for our league that, regardless of the outcome, will be a magnificent game. Go get ’em Mike!
Lots to celebrate Warriors but don’t be afraid to show our young Warriors your support. Cheer Loud. Cheer Proud. LET’S GO WARRIORS! #Warriors4Life
