Bring on the playoffs!
Our Mosquito team has a bye week this weekend but our Tykes, Pee Wees and Bantams will be competing. This week’s game for our Tykes will be a sudden-death game to be able to proceed to the C-Cup semi-finals. They’ll be competing in Brockville at the Commonwealth Public School at 10:00 (Tyke game details) vs the Rideau Redblacks. The two teams faced each other October 4th at the Warriors inaugural Homecoming Day in a tough battle which saw the Warriors lose a 0-6 nail biter.
Tyke Captains (L to R): Julien Beaulieu (#33), Owen Lavigne (#44), Ryan Morissette (#34) and Jack MacKay (#7)
At the same location and on the same day, the Warriors Bantams will be looking for a different outcome with the Redblacks to their Homecoming Day match up. The Bantams play at noon (more game details). This will be a rugged battle that you won’t want to miss.
Bantams Defense is ready to go! With Keenan Broad (#42), Aaron Masalinga (#22) and Captain, Nic Simms (#59)
Our Pee Wee club plays the next day, Sunday, October 18th at 9:00 a.m. at Beckwith Park Field against the 5-3 Gloucester South Raiders (more game details). Our Pee Wees are the NCAFA Western Conference Champions this year. The 7-1 Warriors won the conference title for the second straight year and for the 5th time in the past 6 years! The Raiders are always fast and tough so our Pee Wees will be looking for all the support they can get. Let’s get there Warriors and cheer on our Pee Wees!
Pee Wee RB #21 John Lubemba will be a go-=guy again Sunday as he has been all year.
If you haven’t had enough football this weekend, our sister club at the Midget level (17-19 year olds) the 6-2 Bel-Air Norsemen will have their quarter-final playoff against the North Gloucester Giants at Notre Dame School field at 3:00 p.m.
The Bel-Air Norsmen (our Midget sister club) have lots of Warriors alumni to cheer on including #96 Jacob “Bubba” Stuart-Lafleur and #42 Brad Cowan.
Get rested up and be ready to cheer with all you’ve got Warriors!!! GO WARRIORS!!! #Warriors4Life
