The 5th Annual Warrior Day has come and gone and as with previous events, everyone left having had a great time. The annual FREE event returned to the Richmond Fair Grounds this year. Thankfully the weatherman cooperated and we made it through the entire event with only a few drops of rain. “Warrior Day is a fun event that we host annually for free. It’s a chance for young players to get introduced to our great sport and for those that already play, there is some quality training to reinforce good football fundamentals. This year’s event finished with a fun mini-tournament of touch football that was a definite hit. ” stated Tim Sheahan VP of the Warriors.
100% Volunteer based, we rely on selfless support from our volunteers like: (from L to R): Karin Statham, Carmen Schwartz, Veronica Papalia, Diane Forsyth and Amanda O’Brien
Coach Tim Sheahan oversees a RB drill. 1st year Pee Wee QB Dylan Stengel is taking the snaps.
Bantam LB Coach Pat Kilmartin is doing what he does best…..mentoring young football players. Coaches like Coach Pat understand the value in teaching our youth how to learn to do by doing. Atta boy Pat!
Bantam DC Joe Papalia get ready to engage Bantam LB Coach Pat Kilmartin. Bantam standout Andrew Fullerton is always 1st in line…..even at Warrior Day. Gotta love players that understand the importance of leading by example.
Some of our group learning the importance of ‘TEAM’ at our 5th Annual Warrior Day. Bantam Head Coach & Warrior President Paul Stewart addresses some of the attendees. There is so much more to the sport of football than X’s and O’s and winning and losing. The lessons learned playing football will serve our many Warrior players off the field as well long after their playing days are over.
One of our Ultimate Warrior fans Ann Sheahan greets Warrior alumni Quinn Stewart who came out to Warrior Day to volunteer his time to our young players. Our motto is “Warriors4Life” and Quinn is one Warrior alumni that takes it to heart. THANKS QUINN!
Thanks to all that came out to enjoy a great day of fun and football. See you again next year at the 6th Annual Warrior Day!
